Bing & Grøndahl lion on rock figurine no. 2057 Lauritz Jensen

Large porcelain figurine of a male lion on a rock from Bing & Grøndahl, model no. 2057. The figurine has a distinctive and lively expression, with the lion standing tensely forward over the marbled rock with its head slightly turned and its mouth open. The powerful mane in grey-brown shades creates fine depth against the light body and emphasizes the figurine's dramatic appearance.

It is a Bing & Grøndahl animal figurine with strong decorative effect, and it is well suited to you who are looking for classic Danish porcelain with character. The combination of the naturalistic lion, the glossy glaze and the stone-like design of the base gives the figurine an expression that appears both calm and powerful. On the base the name "Lauritz Jensen" can be seen, which is an important detail for both collectors and for you who are interested in older porcelain figurines with a clear artistic identity.

The lion figurine looks beautiful on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as a distinctive detail on a side table, where it can stand alone or together with other porcelain figurines and animal figurines. It also works obviously as a gift for the collector or for the one who is fond of Nordic design history and quality objects with personality. Older porcelain like this contains both craftsmanship, history and a kind of durability, which makes it meaningful to choose objects that can gain new life in today's homes.

The current description mentions underglaze, and that harmonizes well with the figurine's soft color transitions and the classic Bing & Grøndahl expression. Here you get a large lion figurine in porcelain, which stands out with its strong motif and its collectible model number.
