Bing & Grøndahl Schnauzer dog figurine no. 2089, 13 cm

This Bing & Grøndahl Schnauzer dog figurine no. 2089 reproduces the breed's characteristic expression with upright posture, pronounced beard, and the dense, wiry coat that makes the schnauzer so easy to recognize. The figurine stands alert with raised tail and a calm, watchful gaze, which gives it a lively and lifelike character. For collectors of Bing & Grøndahl figurines and for dog lovers, it is a porcelain figurine with both personality and classic Danish sense of form.

The current execution appears in subdued shades that suit the motif and emphasize the structure of the coat. The standing dog is modeled with fine transitions in the body and clear details around the head, legs, and back, giving the figurine a good balance between naturalism and decorative expression. The technique is underglaze, which suits the porcelain figurine's calm surface and the timeless expression many associate with older Bing & Grøndahl animal figurines.

As a dog figurine in porcelain, it fits beautifully in a collection with other animal figurines, but it also works well on its own on a shelf, in a bookcase, or on a desk, where it adds a touch of history and character to the home. Precisely figurines with age, quality, and a recognizable motif have a special ability to create personality in the décor, while also giving fine craftsmanship new life in a modern home. This makes this schnauzer figurine an obvious gift idea for collectors, for owners of the breed, or for you who are fond of classic Danish porcelain.
