Royal Copenhagen Basset Hound figurine no. 356 porcelain figurine

Royal Copenhagen Basset Hound figurine no. 356 is a porcelain figurine with lots of personality and a calm, thoughtful expression. The classic dog figurine depicts the basset hound's long body, short legs and characteristic drooping ears in a way that makes the figurine both lifelike and decorative. For you who are looking for a Royal Copenhagen dog figurine, a basset hound figurine or a porcelain figurine with a dog, this is a model with distinct character and strong collector appeal.

The figurine sits calmly with its gaze forward, and it is precisely this relaxed posture that suits the motif well. In the pictures, the soft brown areas can be seen against the white glaze, which gives the surface warmth and life. The long ears fall heavily down along the head, and the face is modelled with a gentle, almost melancholy expression that many associate with the breed. It is a dog figurine that does not seem stiff, but present and full of temperament.

Royal Copenhagen is known for porcelain with precise modelling and a strong sense for animal motifs, and this basset hound figurine is a fine example of exactly that. The underglaze gives the colours a soft depth and a smooth, durable surface that suits the figurine's organic shapes. As a porcelain figurine, it functions both as classic applied art and as a collector's item for you who appreciate Danish figurines, dog figurines and older porcelain with history.

A figurine like this fits beautifully in the display cabinet, on a shelf or as a personal detail in the living room, office or summer house. It is also an obvious gift for the dog owner, the basset hound enthusiast or the collector of Royal Copenhagen figurines. Older porcelain figurines have a special ability to add soul to the home, and at the same time it is a sustainable pleasure to choose quality objects that are created to last and be appreciated through generations.
