Dahl Jensen basset hound figurine no. 1065, 14.5 cm

Dahl Jensen basset hound figurine no. 1065 is a charming porcelain figurine that captures the breed's calm and thoughtful expression with great assurance. The seated dog is modelled with long, soft ears, a slightly lowered head and a calm gaze, which give the figurine both personality and presence. It is precisely the type of animal figurine that makes Dahl Jensen sought after among collectors of Danish porcelain and dog figurines.

The figurine was made by Jens Peter Dahl Jensen for Dahl Jensen and appears with the soft, natural forms that characterise his animal motifs. The white glaze is combined with brown areas on the head, ears, back and paws, which emphasises the basset hound's distinctive markings. The expression is finely balanced between naturalism and decorative simplicity, so that the figurine functions both as a collector's item and as an atmospheric detail in the interior.

A porcelain figurine like this fits beautifully on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as part of a complete arrangement with other animal figurines in Danish design. It is also an obvious gift for the dog lover or collector who appreciates classic porcelain with history and personality. Older porcelain figurines like this are made to last, and they bring craftsmanship, soul and a sustainable perspective into the home when they are given new life with a new owner.

It is a figurine that one notices without it needing to take up much space. The compact size makes it easy to place, while the modelling and glaze give it depth and character up close.
