Bing & Grøndahl Pointer puppy figurine no. 2026 or 444

This Bing & Grøndahl dog figurine depicts a pointer puppy in a lively and natural moment. The small puppy stands with its tail held high, soft lines, and its head turned slightly back, giving the figure a fine interplay of curiosity, movement, and attentiveness. The warm brown markings over the ears, back, and head stand beautifully against the white glaze and emphasize the breed's characteristic expression.

The figurine is designed by Lauritz Jensen, who is known for his lifelike animal portrayals. Here, the pointer puppy's young body shape is rendered with a calm assurance, where both proportions and posture appear convincing without becoming stiff. The underglaze decoration gives the surface depth and a classic porcelain expression, which fits well into both traditional collections and modern interiors.

A porcelain figurine like this has a special ability to add personality to the home. It works beautifully in a display cabinet, on a shelf, or as part of a group with other animal figurines in porcelain. For collectors of Bing & Grøndahl figurines and dog figurines, the model number is an important detail, and that is precisely why this pointer puppy is also an obvious choice for anyone seeking a specific figurine for the collection.

Older porcelain figurines like this contain both craftsmanship and history. That is precisely part of the charm of classic Danish porcelain: that it can still create joy, be used in interior decoration, and be given new life in a home where there is an appreciation for quality, form, and story.
