Royal Copenhagen Pointer dog figurine no. 1634 Lauritz Jensen

Royal Copenhagen Pointer dog figurine no. 1634 is a porcelain figurine with a calm, almost thoughtful expression. The reclining pointer is modelled closely curled up with its head low and body folded into a soft, rounded shape. This gives the figurine a special intimacy, where the dog's calm nature and the breed's fine lines stand out clearly. For you who are looking for a classic dog figurine in porcelain, this is a motif with both warmth and character.

The figurine is made by Lauritz Jensen for Royal Copenhagen and combines naturalism with the confident sense of form for which Danish porcelain figurines are known. In the pictures, the white glaze is seen combined with warm brown markings on the head, back and hindquarters, and this very colour scheme emphasises the pointer's calm posture and soft shapes. The underglaze gives the surface a beautiful sheen and highlights the fine transitions of the modelling, so that the figurine is experienced as cohesive from all angles.

As a Royal Copenhagen figurine, this pointer appeals both to collectors of Danish porcelain figurines and to dog lovers who want a motif with life and personality. It fits beautifully in a display cabinet, on a shelf, a side table or as a discreet detail in the home décor, where it adds a quiet story to the home. It is also an obvious gift idea for anyone who is fond of dog figurines, classic Danish design and porcelain with history.

Older porcelain figurines like this one have a special value because they are created to be preserved and appreciated through generations. When you choose vintage porcelain and classic collectibles, you are also choosing a sustainable alternative to new production. It is decorative art and design with soul, which can still create joy in a modern home.
