Royal Copenhagen Pekingese dog figurine no. 1453 in porcelain

Royal Copenhagen Pekingese dog figurine no. 1453 is a classic porcelain figurine with an expression that immediately draws attention. The small dog sits calmly with the front slightly forward, broad front paws and an upturned tail, while the characteristic shape of the head and the large, dark eyes give the figurine an almost thoughtful and slightly solemn look. It is a dog figurine with presence, where both breed characteristics and personality are captured in a simple and convincing formal language.

The glossy porcelain surface and the underglaze decoration emphasize Royal Copenhagen's confident command of animal figurines. The figurine is kept in white tones with light brown areas over the head, back and tail, and the colors blend softly into the form, so that the whole appears lively without becoming heavy. Seen from several angles, the Pekingese appears compact and low-set, with a distinctive face and a seated posture that gives the model calm and weight.

As a porcelain figurine, this Pekingese is an obvious choice for you if you collect Royal Copenhagen, dog figurines or classic Danish porcelain. It works beautifully on its own on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as part of a larger collection of animal figurines. The motif also makes it a personal gift idea for the dog lover who is fond of decorative art and collectibles with history and character.

Older porcelain figurines like this one hold a special charm because they are created to last and to be appreciated for many years. Choosing a figurine with history is also a fine way to bring quality craftsmanship forward into a contemporary home, where it can add warmth, personality and a touch of classic collector culture.
