Bing & Grøndahl Boxer dog figurine no. 2212 - Svend Jespersen

Bing & Grøndahl dog figurine no. 2212 depicts a standing Boxer with the characteristic, alert expression and the strong, well-balanced body shape for which the breed is known. The figurine is modeled with fine calmness and precision, so that the dog's upright posture, defined chest and attentive head give it a lively and lifelike character. For collectors of porcelain figurines and dog figurines, this is a classic model with great appeal.

The figurine is designed by Svend Jespersen and made in porcelain with underglaze. The glossy glaze highlights the soft transitions in the modeling, while the subdued brownish shades and the darker details around the muzzle and eyes give the figurine depth. It is precisely this combination of sculptural assurance and discreet coloration that makes older Bing & Grøndahl figurines so sought after in both classic and modern homes.

A Boxer figurine like this looks beautiful on a shelf, in a display cabinet, or as part of a collection of animal figurines from Bing & Grøndahl. It is also an obvious gift for the dog lover, especially for the one who is fond of the Boxer breed or Danish porcelain design. At the same time, it is a beautiful example of how quality objects with history can continue to create joy and personality in the interior many years after they were made.
