Bing & Grøndahl butcher figurine no. 2433 porcelain figurine

Bing & Grøndahl butcher figurine no. 2433 is a classic porcelain figurine that depicts a craftsman in the middle of his work. The motif shows a butcher at the chopping block with a knife in his hand and a piece of meat in front of him, rendered in a calm and natural working posture. It is a figurine that tells of professionalism, concentration and the traditional craft that through generations has been an important part of everyday life.

The white workwear and the apron look beautiful with the subdued grey and beige shades in the hair, trousers and block. It is precisely the restrained colour scheme that gives the figurine a harmonious and timeless expression, which fits well into both classic and more modern collections. As a craftsman figurine and occupational figurine, it has a special appeal to collectors of Bing & Grøndahl figurines and to you who are fond of porcelain with story and character.

This porcelain figurine is executed in underglaze, a technique that is known for providing a durable and refined surface. The figurine has a fine calmness about it, even though the motif is active, and it balances the working moment with the stylised sense of form that makes porcelain figurines so decorative. The butcher at the block is a motif that stands out among figurines with people and occupations, and therefore it is also an obvious gift idea for a collector, for a professional or for a home where one wants decorative art with a historical atmosphere.

Older porcelain figurines like this carry more than just decorative value. They bring history, craftsmanship and personality into the interior and are at the same time a beautiful choice for you who appreciate preserving quality objects created to last. A vintage Bing & Grøndahl figurine can stand alone in a display cabinet, on a shelf or as part of a larger collection with rural life, craftsman figurines and other human figurines.
