Bing & Grøndahl Venus with the apple figure no. 108 or 4108

Venus with the apple is a classic Bing & Grøndahl figure with a calm and sculptural expression that makes it a remarkable piece of Danish porcelain art. The figure is designed by Kai Nielsen and shows the standing Venus in a balanced posture, where she raises her arm and holds a small apple in her hand. The light blanc de chine finish emphasizes the motif's clean lines and gives the figure a soft, almost marble-like character.

The motif combines mythology, grace and simplicity in a way that Kai Nielsen is known and appreciated for. The body's calm posture, the slightly turned torso and the simple base create a figure that appears both harmonious and present. As a porcelain figure, it has a distinct artistic expression, where form and silhouette are allowed to take center stage without distracting decoration.

This Bing & Grøndahl figure appeals both to collectors of Kai Nielsen, to those who are fond of classic female figures in porcelain, and to interior decor with history and character. A figure like this fits beautifully on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as a sculptural feature in a modern home, where it adds calm, cultural history and personality to the home. Older porcelain figures like this are at the same time a fine choice for those who appreciate quality objects created to last and the joy of letting good craftsmanship live on.

Venus with the apple is also an obvious gift idea for the collector, the art lover or the one who is fond of Danish design and porcelain with a classical world of motifs. It works both as a decorative figure and as a collector's item, and it is precisely the combination of Kai Nielsen's design language, Bing & Grøndahl's porcelain and the blanc de chine technique that makes the model sought-after.
