Bing & Grøndahl annual figurine 1988 Billy porcelain figurine

Bing & Grøndahl annual figurine 1988 "Billy" is a charming porcelain figurine with a clearly narrative motif. The figurine depicts a boy in cowboy-inspired clothing with a wide hat, blue vest, scarf at the neck, and light trousers with visible details along the side. He stands calmly on an oval base and has an expression that gives the figurine both personality and presence.

The motif makes "Billy" a special annual figurine from Bing & Grøndahl. Here, classic porcelain craftsmanship meets a more playful and narrative figurine tradition, where the child's posture and clothing create associations with westerns, fantasy, and role-play. The subdued shades of blue, beige, white, and green give the figurine a harmonious overall impression that fits beautifully into both traditional and more personal collections.

As part of Bing & Grøndahl's annual figurines, "Billy" is also of interest to collectors seeking specific vintages or wishing to expand their collection with figurines from the 1980s. The year 1988 makes it easy to connect to a special occasion such as a birth year, anniversary, or gift with personal significance. The figurine also works well on its own in the decor, where it can stand in a display cabinet, on a shelf, or together with other porcelain figurines and collectibles.

Older porcelain figurines like this one have a special value because they are created to be preserved and appreciated for many years. Choosing a vintage annual figurine is also a lovely way to bring quality, history, and character into the home. "Billy" is therefore an obvious choice for collectors of Bing & Grøndahl, for those who are fond of porcelain figurines with motif and storytelling, or as a gift for someone who has a special connection to the year 1988.
