Søholm white child figurine - glazed figurine of kneeling child

This white child figurine from Søholm has a calm and poetic expression that makes it easy to notice in the décor. The figurine depicts a child in a kneeling position with the head slightly bowed and the hands behind the back. The simple design and the glossy white glaze give the figurine a clean, Nordic character, where the motif is allowed to stand out clearly and quietly.

As a ceramic figurine, it has a fine interplay between soft lines and an almost minimalist design language. The face is only lightly defined, and it is precisely this simple modelling that gives the child figurine charm and character. It is a figurine that is well suited to collectors of Søholm ceramics, but also to those who are fond of Danish figurines with a subdued and timeless expression.

A white figurine like this is easy to place in the home. It works beautifully on a shelf, in a bookcase, on a small side table, or as part of a display with other ceramic figurines and Scandinavian decorative art. The light expression also makes it suitable for a modern home, where it can add personality without seeming heavy in the décor.

Older figurines like this often have precisely the soul and presence that make them worth preserving and continuing to use. Choosing vintage Søholm is also a way of giving good craftsmanship new life. For collectors of Danish child figurines and ceramics with history, this is a decorative figurine with a classic and harmonious expression.
