Just Andersen foal figure no. 2333 in patinated diskometal

This figure of a standing foal from Just Andersen has a vivid and sensuous expression that makes it a distinctive piece of Danish craftsmanship. The young animal is modelled with long, slender legs, a slightly turned head and a posture that gives the figure movement and presence. The dark, patinated surface in diskometal emphasises the formal language and highlights the many modelled details in the mane, tail and musculature.

The motif is keenly observed and rendered with a raw, almost sculptural character that suits Just Andersen's formal language. The foal's slightly uncertain, alert posture gives the figure personality and makes it interesting to view from several angles. In the pictures, a surface with deep glow and a tactile interplay can be seen, giving the figure warmth and weight, while the expression retains lightness.

As a vintage figure, it contains both history and durability. It fits beautifully in an interior with a focus on Danish design, sculptural objects and materials with patina. Use it as a decorative solitaire on a shelf, desk or sideboard, or let it be included together with other animal figures, bronze-coloured objects or classic Nordic applied art. For collectors of Just Andersen, model number 2333 is an important detail that makes the figure easy to identify.

It is a figure that appeals both to the collector, to the horse enthusiast and to the one seeking a decorative design figure with character. Original older objects like this add soul and personality to the home and are at the same time a conscious choice for those who appreciate good craftsmanship with a long lifespan.
