Mats Jonasson Wildlife glass figurine paperweight with moose motif

Mats Jonasson Wildlife glass figurine with moose motif combines sculptural weight and Nordic natural atmosphere in one and the same piece of glass. The clear, solid glass is shaped with raw, lively edges, which give the figurine an almost icy expression, while the matte surface and the engraved motif highlight the moose in profile beneath the branches of the trees. The result is a decorative glass sculpture that functions both as a paperweight and as a small art object with a strong presence.

The motif leads the thoughts towards the Swedish forest and the wild animal life that characterizes the Wildlife series. The moose stands calmly and powerfully in the landscape, and the contrast between the glossy glass, the frosted areas and the darker details gives the motif depth. It is precisely this combination of nature motif and solid glass craftsmanship that has made Mats Jonasson's works sought after among both collectors and those who appreciate Scandinavian design with motifs from the animal world.

As a glass figurine, it fits beautifully on the desk, in the windowsill, on a shelf or in a display cabinet, where the light can work in the glass and bring out the details. It is also ideal as a gift for the nature lover, the hunter or the collector of Swedish art glass and animal figurines. At the same time, it has a practical function as a paperweight, which makes it easy to integrate into both the home office and home décor.

Older glass designs like this have a special charm because they were created to last and can still be used and appreciated for many years to come. A vintage glass figurine with history adds personality and soul to the décor and is a fine choice for the one who wishes to surround themselves with quality design rather than new production.
