Royal Copenhagen fox with cubs figurine 1788 Peter Herold

Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 1788 depicts a fox with cubs in a calm and closely gathered composition, where the mother fox almost encloses her little ones. The motif has a warm and natural narrative, which makes the figurine ideal for collectors of Danish animal figurines and for those who are fond of porcelain with life, presence and character. The soft lines and the close group effect give the figurine a quiet expression that fits beautifully into both classic and modern homes.

Peter Herold has created a figurine in which the animals' body language is at the center. In the pictures, the mother fox is seen with upright ears and an alert gaze, while the cubs lie close together under her protection. The glaze appears in muted brownish and gray shades with light areas at the chest, snout and tail, which emphasizes the figurine's lifelike character. The glossy surface highlights the shapes beautifully and gives the porcelain figurine depth from all angles.

As a Royal Copenhagen figurine, this fox with cubs has both decorative strength and collector interest. Figurine number 1788 makes it easy to identify, and the motif belongs among the animal figurines that many seek out when they want classic Danish porcelain with a vivid nature motif. The figurine works well alone on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as part of a larger collection with other fox figurines and animal depictions.

Older porcelain figurines like this one have a special charm because they carry history, craftsmanship and personality forward into today's interior design. That is precisely part of the joy of choosing original porcelain with soul: you get a piece of design that was created to be appreciated for many years and to bring new life into the home as a sustainable alternative to new production.
