About the product

Beautiful and early Royal Copenhagen figurine depicting a seated mother nursing her child. Crafted in white porcelain with hand-painted green dress and head covering.
The form is also known in a blue fluted version, but this piece is painted in green tones - a much rarer variation. Model number: 1887, impressed in the porcelain Marked with the three wavy lines and initials - possibly H.C., referring to modeller Holger Christensen.
The figurine clearly shows signs of early production from the late 1800s, including minor dust particles in the porcelain and areas where the green glaze does not fully cover.
