Royal Copenhagen rabbit cub in stoneware no. 22653 Jeanne Grut

Royal Copenhagen rabbit cub in stoneware no. 22653 is a characterful animal figurine with a calm and present expression. The figurine is designed by Jeanne Grut, who is known for her vivid and lifelike depictions of animals, and here the rabbit cub's round body, small paws and attentive ears are rendered in a simple and harmonious form that gives the figurine both weight and warmth.

The dark glaze emphasizes the figurine's soft silhouette and gives the stoneware a calm, almost velvety depth. In the pictures, fine brownish shades can be seen along the ears, paws and face, which highlight the modeling and add extra life to the expression. It is precisely this type of detailing that makes a Royal Copenhagen animal figurine like this more than mere decoration. It has personality and fits beautifully into an interior where there is room for Danish design, ceramics and figurines with a natural motif.

A rabbit figurine like this is ideal on a shelf, in a bookcase, on the windowsill or as part of a still life with other animals, ceramics or small collectibles. It can also be a lovely gift idea for collectors of Royal Copenhagen figurines, for those who are fond of hares and rabbits, or for anyone who appreciates Danish stoneware with a calm design language.

Jeanne Grut's figurines have a special ability to capture the character of the animal without overworking the form, and that makes this rabbit cub easy to place in both classic and modern homes. Here you get a decorative stoneware figurine where motif, material and design come together as a whole.
