Royal Copenhagen rabbit cub stoneware figurine no. 22692 Jeanne Grut

Royal Copenhagen rabbit cub in stoneware no. 22692 is a small animal figurine with a calm and composed expression. The figurine is modelled by Jeanne Grut and shows a young rabbit in a close, rounded posture, where the body almost closes in on itself. This gives the figurine a warm and natural character, making it ideal for collectors of Royal Copenhagen figurines and for those who are fond of Danish animal ceramics with soft shapes.

The dark stoneware glaze makes the rabbit cub's shapes stand out clearly, and in the pictures light shades can be seen at the ears, paws and around the face, which create life in the surface. It is precisely this type of modelling that makes small animal figurines from Royal Copenhagen sought-after in interior design: they add personality without appearing heavy and fit nicely on a shelf, in a windowsill or as part of a smaller arrangement with other animals and nature motifs.

The rabbit figurine is also an obvious choice as a gift for the collector, for the animal lover or for the one who appreciates Danish design with history and character. The compact size and the calm appearance make it easy to place in both classic and modern homes. At the same time, it is a figurine that one notices for its shape, its glaze and its quiet expression rather than grand gestures.

This Royal Copenhagen figurine is a good example of how stoneware can be combined with a lively animal motif. The shape is simple, but far from anonymous, and the rabbit cub's slightly bowed head gives the figurine a fine presence. Model number 22692 is an important detail for those seeking precisely this variant of Jeanne Grut's rabbit figurine.
