Royal Copenhagen The Emperor and the Nightingale figurine no. 4382/4367

The Emperor and the Nightingale figurine no. 4382/4367 from Royal Copenhagen is a characterful porcelain figurine with a clear reference to H.C. Andersen's fairy-tale world. The figurine depicts the emperor in an upright and theatrical pose, where the tall crown, the long robe and the finely modelled hands give the motif both dignity and drama. It is a figurine that immediately catches the eye and adds narrative, cultural history and classic Danish design to the interior.

Johannes Hedegaard has created a figurine with great personality. The facial expression is striking, and the thoroughly worked details in the robe, the crown and the movement of the figurine emphasize the fairy-tale expression. In the pictures, a decoration in warm golden and brown shades combined with light sections can be seen, giving the figurine a beautiful contrast and a special depth. The small bird by the emperor's hand connects the motif directly to the story of the emperor and the nightingale and makes the figurine extra interesting for collectors of fairy-tale figurines and Royal Copenhagen figurines.

As a porcelain figurine, it is ideal for a display cabinet, shelf or a still life, where it can stand alone as an eye-catcher or be combined with other figurines from the Danish design tradition. It also suits collectors who are looking for figurines with a literary reference, theatrical character or storytelling in porcelain. Older figurines like this have a special charm because they carry craftsmanship, artistic design and history further into the modern home. It is also a sustainable way to choose quality when giving beautiful porcelain new life.

This Royal Copenhagen figurine is also an obvious gift idea for the collector, for the fairy-tale enthusiast or for anyone who loves Danish porcelain with character and soul.
