Kay Bojesen Puffin in painted beech wood, design 1954

Kay Bojesen Puffin is one of the most characteristic wooden figures in Danish design. With its upright, simple body in black and white and the distinctive beak with colorful stripes, the figure has a lively and graphic expression that immediately catches the eye. It unites humor, personality, and a sense of form in the way that has made Kay Bojesen's figures beloved through generations.

The puffin was designed by Kay Bojesen in 1954 and embodies the playful approach to form that characterizes his universe. Here, the bird's distinctive features are interpreted in soft lines and clear color fields, so the figure appears both stylish and full of life. It is precisely this balance between simplicity and imagination that makes the puffin an obvious choice for collectors of Kay Bojesen figures and for anyone who wants classic Danish design with warmth and personality.

The figure is made of painted beech wood, which emphasizes its close connection to traditional Nordic craftsmanship and understanding of materials. The puffin fits beautifully on a shelf, a desk, a sideboard, or in a still life together with other wooden figures and design classics. It also works really well as a gift for the design lover, the collector, or the one who appreciates interiors with history and soul.

An older Kay Bojesen figure often has a special charm because it carries the story of a design that was created to last and be appreciated for many years. Choosing a figure with history is also a fine way to give good design new life and pass on a lasting quality product to a modern home.
