Bing & Grøndahl tiger cub figurine 2214 13 cm

Bing & Grøndahl tiger cub figurine no. 2214 is a classic animal figurine in porcelain with a calm and lifelike expression. The seated tiger cub is modelled with an attentive posture, slightly turned head and a soft, lively body shape that gives the figurine presence on the shelf, in the display cabinet or as part of a collection. The dark stripes against the light glaze emphasize the motif and give the figurine character.

It is a Bing & Grøndahl figurine that suits both collectors of Danish porcelain figurines and those who are fond of animal motifs in interior decor. The tiger cub has a fine interplay between the decorative and the naturalistic, so that it works both as a small art object and as an atmospheric detail in the home. Underglaze highlights the subdued shades and the marked stripes in a way that suits the motif well.

As a vintage porcelain figurine, it also has the special quality that many associate with older Danish porcelain: sense of form, craftsmanship and enduring beauty. It is exactly the type of object that can find new life in a modern home and bring personality among books, ceramics and other collectibles. The figurine is also an obvious gift for a collector or for someone who appreciates Bing & Grøndahl and classic animal figurines with history.
