Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 3171 Knight and maiden

Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 3171 "Knight and maiden" is an atmospheric porcelain figurine that depicts a young couple in close, quiet presence. The motif has a romantic and almost fairy-tale character with distinct historical costumes, where the knight stands protectively by the maiden's side, while she bows her head slightly and holds his arm. It is a figurine that tells of devotion, courtly love and classical storytelling in porcelain.

The design is executed by Holger Christensen, and the figurine bears the special calm and balance that make many older Royal Copenhagen figurines so sought after. The color scheme in cool gray-blue shades, white dress and discreet decorations gives the figurine a subdued and harmonious expression. At the same time, the green base with leaves and natural details adds life to the composition and emphasizes the poetic motif.

As a porcelain figurine in underglaze, the model contains both fine craftsmanship and decorative weight. It is particularly well suited for those who collect Royal Copenhagen figurines, romantic couple figurines or classical human figurines with a historical motif. The figurine works beautifully as an eye-catcher in the living room, in a display cabinet or as part of a personal collection of Danish porcelain art.

Older porcelain figurines like this have a special charm because they are created to last and to be appreciated through generations. Choosing a figurine with history is also a way to bring more personality into the interior and at the same time give good craftsmanship new life. "Knight and maiden" is therefore an obvious choice for the collector, for the romantic interior or as a gift for someone who is fond of classical design and Danish porcelain.
