Royal Copenhagen Shetland pony figurine 4609 Jeanne Grut 15 cm

Royal Copenhagen figurine 4609 depicts a Shetland pony in a calm, natural moment with its head lowered, as if it is standing and grazing. Jeanne Grut has modelled the pony with a fine sense of the animal's build and movement, and the figurine has an expression that appears both present and grounded. The light mane and tail fall heavily and softly along the body, while the dappled coat is rendered in grey shades that give the figurine life and depth.

It is precisely the lifelike design that makes this porcelain figurine so inviting. The curve of the body, the low head position and the calm leg positions give the pony a credible and harmonious expression. The glossy underglaze highlights the soft transitions in the decoration and emphasises Royal Copenhagen's confident work with porcelain and animal figurines. For collectors of Royal Copenhagen figurines and for anyone with an interest in horse figurines, model 4609 is a motif with great appeal.

A porcelain figurine like this fits beautifully in a bookcase, a display cabinet or on a chest of drawers, where it can stand alone or together with other animal figurines in porcelain. It is also an obvious gift idea for horse enthusiasts, for collectors of Jeanne Grut or for someone who appreciates Danish design with character. Older figurines like this also have the special quality that they bring history, craftsmanship and personality into the home and are a beautiful choice for you who value things created to last a long time.

This Royal Copenhagen Shetland pony is a good example of why classic animal figurines continue to be sought after. It combines decorative value, collector interest and a motif that feels timeless in both classic and modern surroundings.
