About the item
Orrefors blue Fuga glass bowl, designed by Sven Palmqvist. With a deep feeling for the essential nature of glass, the Orrefors artist Sven Palmqvist (1906-1984) developed the centrifugal method in the thirties. The first Fuga bowl was presented in 1953. Simple, practical and stackable, it was an immediate success. During the jubilee year of Orrefors in 1998 the Fuga bowl was again produced in three colours. A tribute to the handsome, practical object that is as contemporary today as it was yesterday.
