This 1975 Bing & Grondahl Danish Marine plate has the title Viking. The motif of this 1975 Bing & Grondahl Danish Marine plate shows the Danish Training ship named Viking. Viking was a four-masted ship which was build in Copenhagen in 1906. Viking was used as training ship to 1927 after which it was sold to a Swedish owner and was sailing in his marine. As training ship it had been sailing all over the world and it continued to do this with the new owner until 1947. After this it was sold to people in the Swedish city Göteborg where it still has its home. It is possible for the public to see the ship because it there has been established a sort of hotel.
