1973 Gustavsberg Special Edition Christmas Plate, Christmas Plate No. 1.

This 1973 Gustavsberg Christmas plate displays an idyllic Swedish winter landscape with a horse-drawn sleigh in blue and white hues. This special edition, with a diameter of 20 cm, is not only a collector's item but also an ideal lunch plate that can contribute to the festive atmosphere at Christmas luncheons or as an exquisite starter plate for Christmas Eve dinner.

The plate was produced in a special commission of 5,000 copies, and after production, the original printing plates were destroyed to ensure its unique character. The motif is based on a sketch from 1867 by A. Malmstöm and elaborated by Sven Jonson.
