The spirit of the ring flies Aladin out of the Enchanted Garden is number 5 in a series of 12 Aladin plates produced by Rosenthal, designed by Bjorn Wiinblad. In his 12 Aladin plates, Bjorn Wiinblad virtuously depicts the tale of Aladin from the well known fairy tale The Thousand and One Nights. In this fairy tale Aladin achieves the greatest treasures and overcomes the gravest dangers, and Bjorn Wiinblad has, in his usual optimistic style, chosen the most important scenes from Aladin's life. The brilliant and intense colours with gold ornamentations stresses the splendor of this oriental fairy tale. This is the fifth of the twelve Aladin plates, titled The Spirit of the Ring flies Aladin out of the Enchanted Garden. The technique used for the plates is overglazed. Aladin from "The Thousand and One Nights". Imprisoned in the enchanted garden, Aladin wrings his hands in fear and dispair, thus also rubbing the ring which he found in the garden. The Spirit of the Ring appears, and offers Aladin his services.
