Holmegaard glass through generations
Holmegaard’s history dates back to 1825, when the glassworks was founded in Holmegaard Mose in South Zealand. What began with the production of bottles and household glass, developed over the years into some of Denmark’s best-known glass series.
Today Holmegaard is especially associated with quality glass for the table, where both classic and modern designs have found their way to generations of dinner tables.
Famous series from Holmegaard
Over the years, Holmegaard has launched a long series of popular glass collections. Among the best known you will find Perfection, Cabernet, Idéelle, Charlotte Amalie, Future and Fontaine.
Some series are created with a focus on the wine experience, while others are developed as versatile glasses for both everyday use and celebrations. Several of the series have been part of Danish homes for decades and are still used, collected, and supplemented by both new and experienced collectors.

Holmegaard wine glasses, beer glasses and schnapps glasses
Holmegaard is known for much more than its wine glasses. Over the years, the glassworks has created everything from red wine glasses, white wine glasses and champagne glasses to beer glasses, cognac glasses, port wine glasses and schnapps glasses, which still have a natural place on the table in many homes.
If you want a Holmegaard cocktail glass, you will find it in the Fontaine series, which today is the only series with a classic cocktail glass in the range.
Among the most sought-after Holmegaard beer glasses is the No. 5 beer glass of 30 cl. The design was launched in 1970 and is, together with The Danish Beer Glass, still a popular choice among both collectors and those who appreciate Danish glass design.
Many of Holmegaard’s series include several different types of glass. This makes it easy to assemble a complete table setting, where wine glasses, water glasses, beer glasses and schnapps glasses naturally match on the table.
Discontinued Holmegaard glass
Many of Holmegaard’s most sought-after glasses are no longer in production. At DPH - Danish Porcelain House, you will therefore find both new and used Holmegaard glass, including many discontinued models, which can make it possible to supplement an existing series.
For many customers, it is precisely the possibility to find the glass they are missing after many years of use that makes discontinued Holmegaard glass particularly interesting.
