Royal Copenhagen lamb figure no. 758 porcelain underglaze H: 9 cm

Royal Copenhagen figure no. 758 depicts a standing lamb with a calm and alert expression. The figure is made of porcelain with underglaze and has the soft, natural appearance that makes the classic animal figures from Royal Copenhagen so sought after. The light-coloured lamb is modelled with fine transitions in the glaze, where the legs, ears and face have grey-blue shades, which give the figure depth and character.

The motif is simple and recognisable, but precisely for that reason also very effective in the interior. The lamb stands with a slight twist in the body and an open gaze, which adds life to the figure. This makes it ideal as part of a collection of porcelain figures, but also as a small independent feature on a shelf, in a bookcase or on a display cabinet. The subdued colour scale makes it easy to combine with other Danish porcelain and decorative art.

Older porcelain figures like this have a special charm, because they combine good craftsmanship with a motif that remains beautiful across time and trends. A lamb like this suits both collectors of Royal Copenhagen figures and those who want to decorate with objects with history and personality. It is also an obvious gift idea for anyone who is fond of classic Danish design, animal figures in porcelain or smaller collectibles with a calm, Nordic expression.
