Royal Copenhagen Orchestra 2023 Angel with songbook no. 095

Royal Copenhagen Orchestra 2023 Angel with songbook no. 095 is an atmospheric angel figurine and a lovely Christmas ornament in the classic blue and white shades with gold decoration. The figurine depicts an angel holding its songbook close to the body, and the expression is calm, simple and recognizable in its design language. The soft transition from white over light blue to deeper cobalt blue gives the figurine a beautiful interplay with other Christmas decorations from Royal Copenhagen and with the well-known Christmas plates and collector's items in blue tones.

This angel with songbook is part of Royal Copenhagen's orchestra of angels, where each figurine contributes with its own little musical motif. The songbook in particular adds a special story to the figurine about Christmas song, community and the quiet anticipation that belongs to the holiday. The golden details around the halo and along the figurine's lines provide a warm counterpoint to the cool blue colours and emphasize the decorative expression.

The angel figurine can be used alone as a small Christmas figurine on a table, shelf or in the windowsill, but it truly comes into its own together with the other figurines in the series, where it becomes part of a complete angel choir or orchestra. It can also be hung up in the included string as an ornament on a branch, Christmas tree or a decorative hanging in the home. This makes it ideal both as a collector's figurine and as a gift idea for someone who is fond of Danish Christmas decorations, porcelain figurines and Royal Copenhagen.

With this series, Royal Copenhagen has created a reinterpretation of the classic white angels from Bing & Grøndahl, which were first produced in 1955. This gives the figurine a fine connection between tradition and contemporary Christmas decoration, so that it fits both into a classic Christmas and into a simpler, modern interior.
