Royal Copenhagen Orchestra 2023 Angel with mandolin no. 097

Royal Copenhagen Orchestra 2023 Angel with mandolin no. 097 is an atmospheric angel figurine and Christmas ornament in porcelain, created in the classic blue and white shades with fine gold detailing. The figurine depicts an angel playing the mandolin, and the motif adds both warmth, musical joy, and calm to the Christmas decorations. The soft blue color blends beautifully into the white, while the golden details highlight the contours of the figure and provide a delicate glow in the decoration.

This angel is part of Royal Copenhagen's orchestra of angels, where each figurine carries its own instrument and together forms a harmonious expression. Here it is the mandolin that gives the figure character and makes it ideal for collectors of angel figurines, Christmas figurines, and Royal Copenhagen Christmas decorations. The form is simple and familiar, yet at the same time full of life with small wings, halo, and the little instrument gathered in one calm composition.

The series is a reinterpretation of Bing & Grøndahl's white angels, which were originally produced for the first time in 1955. It is precisely the connection between tradition and renewal that makes the figure particularly interesting. The blue and white tones naturally match Royal Copenhagen's other collectibles and can easily be combined with Christmas plates, other Christmas porcelain, or more angels from the same orchestra. Hang it on the Christmas tree, on a branch, in the window, or let it stand as part of a small Christmas arrangement.

It is also an obvious gift idea for anyone who loves Danish design, porcelain figurines, and classic Christmas decorations with a musical motif. Angel with mandolin works well on its own, but especially comes into its own together with the other orchestra angels, where it helps create an entire story of the music and traditions of Christmas.
