Royal Copenhagen Penguin Chicks figurine no. 325 Allan Therkelsen 12 cm

Royal Copenhagen Penguin Chicks figurine no. 325 depicts two penguin chicks close together in a calm and intimate composition. The figurine has a soft, natural expression, where the two chicks stand side by side each with its own posture and direction of gaze. This gives the motif life and makes this porcelain figurine beautiful to experience from several angles.

Allan Therkelsen has created a bird figurine with a fine understanding of both the animals' character and the possibilities of porcelain. In the pictures, the dark grey heads, the light faces and the white, slightly undulating feather structure can be seen, giving the surface depth and variation. The small wings along the side, the marked beaks and the distinct feet emphasize the naturalistic expression, while the underglaze adds a glossy and lively finish.

As part of the Mother and Child animal figurines series, this Royal Copenhagen figurine is an obvious choice for collectors of porcelain figurines, bird figurines and classic Danish design. The motif of the two penguin chicks conveys warmth, togetherness and calm, and therefore the figurine is also well suited as a gift idea for an animal lover, for a collector or for a home where decorative art and design with personality are allowed to take up space.

Penguin Chicks looks beautiful on its own on a shelf, in a bookcase or in a display cabinet, but it can also be combined with other animal figurines from Royal Copenhagen. It adds a quiet, atmospheric touch and is at the same time an example of porcelain art that unites storytelling, craftsmanship and design.
