Bing & Grøndahl Mother's Day figurine 1998 penguin chick no. 1916698

Bing & Grøndahl Mother's Day figurine 1998 with penguin chick is a charming porcelain figurine that combines animal motif, collector's delight, and Danish design tradition. The figurine depicts a young penguin with a round body, small outstretched wings, and a calm, attentive expression. The soft shapes and the fine underglaze give the figurine life and depth, while the white, grey, and brownish shades emphasize the motif's natural character.

This B&G Mother's Day figurine was created by Pia Langelund and is part of the series of Bing & Grøndahl Mother's Day figurines. This makes it particularly interesting for collectors, because the animal on the Mother's Day figurine is the same animal found on Bing & Grøndahl's Mother's Day plate from 1998. If you are looking for a Bing & Grøndahl Mother's Day figurine 1998, a B&G Mother's Day plate 1998 with the same motif, or a penguin figurine for the collection, this is therefore an obvious choice.

The penguin chick is modelled with a fine sense of both naturalness and warmth. The upright posture, the slightly raised head, and the discreet details in the plumage give the figurine a lively expression, which makes it decorative both on its own and together with other figurines from the series. It fits beautifully in a collection of B&G Mother's Day figurines, but also works as a small animal figurine in the interior, where it adds personality and a touch of Nordic porcelain history.

Older porcelain figurines like this have a special value because they are created to be kept, appreciated, and passed on. This makes them a sustainable choice for those who prefer quality and history over new production. For collectors of Bing & Grøndahl, for those who are fond of penguins, or for the one who wants a Mother's Day figurine with a clear connection to the year's Mother's Day plate, this is a figurine with both collector's value and lasting charm.
