Royal Copenhagen Polar Bear Cubs figurine no. 356 Allan Therkelsen

Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 356 depicts a pair of polar bear cubs in a calm and intimate composition, where one cub lies resting while the other leans over it. The motif has a quiet warmth and a natural movement that gives the figurine life from every angle. The soft forms and the finely modelled fur textures emphasize the expression and make the figurine an atmospheric feature for collectors of porcelain figurines and animal figurines.

Allan Therkelsen has created a figurine that combines naturalism and simplicity in a way that characterizes much Danish porcelain design. The white glaze and the underglaze technique highlight the calm surfaces and the discreet details in the bears' faces, paws and fur. It is a Royal Copenhagen figurine with a motif that appeals both to those who are fond of Nordic animal figurines and to those seeking classic porcelain art with a calm and timeless expression.

Polar bear cubs fit beautifully into an interior with a focus on Danish design, nature motifs and porcelain with character. The figurine can stand alone as a small eye-catcher on a shelf, in a display cabinet or on a side table, but it also works beautifully together with other Royal Copenhagen figurines and animal figurines in porcelain. For collectors, figurine no. 356 is an obvious choice, and as a gift it is both personal and enduring.

Older porcelain figurines like this have a special presence. They bring history, craftsmanship and personality into the home and are at the same time a beautiful choice for you who appreciate quality objects created to be preserved and used through generations.
