Royal Copenhagen Labrador puppy figurine no. 680

Royal Copenhagen Labrador puppy figurine no. 680 is a porcelain figurine with a calm and present expression, which makes it ideal for both dog lovers and collectors of classic animal figurines. The motif depicts a sleeping Labrador puppy lying relaxed on its side with closed eyes, soft lines and a natural, resting posture. The figurine radiates the quiet security and warmth that many associate with a puppy, and precisely for that reason it fits so well into homes where personality and atmosphere are allowed to take up space.

The light glaze with subdued shades emphasizes the figurine's calm character. Ears, paws and snout are marked with discreet color transitions, which give the Labrador puppy life without taking anything away from the overall impression. The shape is simple and harmonious, and the low, lying position makes the figurine easy to place on a shelf, in a display cabinet, on a side table or together with other porcelain figurines from Royal Copenhagen.

As a dog figurine in porcelain, this Labrador puppy has both decorative value and collector interest. Royal Copenhagen is known for figurines where the animal motif is rendered with a sure sense of proportions and character, and no. 680 is a good example of exactly that. The underglaze technique contributes to the smooth surface and the soft expression, which suits the motif particularly well.

Older porcelain figurines like this have a special place in interior decoration because they bring history, craftsmanship and lasting quality into modern homes. Choosing a vintage figurine is also a fine way to give good design new life. This sleeping Labrador puppy can be a thoughtful gift for a dog friend, a beautiful addition to a collection or a small piece of porcelain art that creates calm around itself.
