Royal Copenhagen reclining girl with dog mini figurine no. 124

Royal Copenhagen mini figurine no. 124 depicts a reclining girl with dog in a motif that exudes calm, closeness and everyday joy. The figurine shows a young girl resting on her stomach with her head supported in her hand, while a small brown dog lies close against her back. It is a child figurine with a warm and lively expression, where the interaction between child and dog gives the figurine personality and charm.

The motif is finely crafted with many small details. The girl has light hair in braids, light blue stockings and sleeves as well as a white dress decorated with small blue and red flowers. The dog is rendered in a dark brown color, which creates a beautiful contrast to the light shades in the porcelain. The relaxed pose and the close companionship between child and pet make the figurine ideal for those who are fond of classic porcelain figurines with story and feeling.

The figurine is designed by Sven Vestergaard and belongs among the sought-after Royal Copenhagen figurines, where form language and motif go hand in hand. As a mini figurine, it is easy to place in the home, whether it is to stand in a display cabinet, on a shelf or as part of a collection of child figurines and animal figurines. It also pairs beautifully with other porcelain figurines from Royal Copenhagen, especially if you are fond of motifs with children, animals and quiet everyday scenes.

Older porcelain figurines like this one have a special ability to add history and soul to the home. They are created to last, be appreciated and be passed on through generations. Precisely for that reason, vintage porcelain is also a sustainable choice for those who want beautiful craftsmanship with lasting value and a more personal alternative to new production.
