Royal Copenhagen boy with kitten mini figurine no. 123

Royal Copenhagen mini figurine no. 123 shows a boy standing with a kitten in his arms, while another small cat sits by his legs. The motif is warm and close to everyday life and captures a moment of calm, closeness and childlike joy. The red blouse, the dark trousers and the light shoes give the figurine a vivid and recognisable expression, while the cats' grey tones create a fine contrast to the boy's clothing.

The figurine is modelled by Sven Vestergaard and has the characteristic narrative touch that makes many children's figurines from Royal Copenhagen so sought-after. Here, it is not grand gestures, but the quiet relationship between child and animal that carries the motif. The small white ball by the feet emphasises the playful mood and adds extra life and charm to the figurine.

As a porcelain figurine, it fits beautifully into a collection of children's figurines, animal figurines or classic Danish design. It is also an obvious gift for the cat lover, for the collector of Royal Copenhagen figurines or for you who appreciate porcelain with personality and storytelling. The modest size makes it easy to place in a bookcase, a display cabinet or on a shelf, where the small details can come into their own.

Older porcelain figurines like this one have a special ability to bring soul into the decor. When you choose a figurine with history, it is at the same time a way to appreciate good craftsmanship and give classic design new life in a modern home. That makes this mini figurine both a decorative and meaningful choice.
