Royal Copenhagen Annual Christmas Tree 2011 with cat and gifts

Royal Copenhagen Annual Christmas Tree 2011 is an atmospheric Christmas figure that brings together many of the classic details of the month of December in one motif. The green Christmas tree is decorated with white stars and golden baubles, topped with a golden star and surrounded by gifts at the base. On the front, the year "2011" is shown, and on the back, the house cat is lying and resting close to the packages, as if it is taking a quiet break before Christmas Eve really gets underway.

The figure is designed by Sven Vestergaard for Royal Copenhagen and made of porcelain with underglaze. It is precisely the combination of the narrative Christmas motif, the glossy glaze and the fine colour details that gives the figure a lively and cosy expression. The Annual Christmas Tree series was started in 2007, and since then a new Christmas tree has been released every year. This has made the series a fixed part of many collectors' Christmas and a recurring tradition in the home.

Over time, this series has become very popular, and many of the Christmas trees can be difficult to obtain. Today, many people collect these Christmas trees together with the annual Santas and Mrs. Santas from Royal Copenhagen. Therefore, the Annual Christmas Tree 2011 is also interesting if you wish to supplement an existing collection, find a specific vintage or expand your Christmas display with a figure that works beautifully both alone and together with other figures in the series.

As an older Christmas figure, it also has the charm that only design with history can add. It is a decorative porcelain figure that can be brought out year after year and help create a personal and sustainable Christmas tradition in the home. It fits nicely on a shelf, a chest of drawers, a laid Christmas table or as part of a complete arrangement with other Christmas figures from Royal Copenhagen.
