Bing & Grøndahl Meditation bowl with girl no. 1532

This porcelain bowl from Bing & Grøndahl unites figure and decorative arts in a calm, cohesive expression. The model "Meditation" no. 1532 is designed as a low, organic bowl with a seated girl placed at the edge. The figure sits bent forward with her head slightly lowered and her arms gathered around the leg, which gives the motif a quiet and contemplative character. It is precisely the interplay between the soft figure and the bowl's simple form that makes this model so striking.

The color scheme is light and subdued, and the glazed surface emphasizes the calm lines of both bowl and figure. The low, open form makes it suitable as a decorative porcelain bowl in the home, where it can stand alone as an art object or be used for small items on a table, a chest of drawers, or a console table. As a figure bowl, it has a special presence because it functions both as sculptural decoration and practical decorative arts.

Bing & Grøndahl is known for porcelain with character, and this model is a good example of how classic Danish design can add personality to the home. An older porcelain figurine or bowl like this also has the charm that comes with original decorative arts created to last. Choosing vintage porcelain is at the same time a beautiful way to give good craftsmanship new life and let historical design objects become a natural part of a modern interior.

"Meditation" is ideal for you who are looking for a Bing & Grøndahl figurine, a decorative porcelain bowl, or a collector's item with a more artistic and calm expression. It fits nicely into an interior with Danish design, classic porcelain, and selected vintage finds, and it is also an obvious gift idea for a collector or someone who is fond of porcelain with both function and story.
