Silver Pheasant figurine no. 1784 Bing & Grøndahl Dahl-Jensen

The Silver Pheasant figurine no. 1784 from Bing & Grøndahl is a striking porcelain figurine with a calm, almost solemn expression. The motif is modeled as a standing pheasant with a long, flowing tail, and the figurine has the naturalistic character that many collectors associate with Jens Peter Dahl Jensen. The dark blue breast color, the light head, the finely drawn feathers, and the elegant tail give the figurine a lively interplay that makes it strong both as a bird figurine and as classic Danish porcelain art.

It is a figurine that attracts attention in the décor without seeming heavy. It works beautifully in a display cabinet, on a chest of drawers, or as part of a collection with other Bing & Grøndahl bird figurines. The base is shaped as a small piece of nature in subdued green and gray shades, which supports the motif's calm overall impression and gives the figurine a beautiful transition between bird and base.

Jens Peter Dahl Jensen is known for his animal figurines, and here one can clearly sense the feel for movement, proportions, and details in the plumage. The Silver Pheasant is made in porcelain with underglaze, which suits the motif's fine lines and the deep, clear colors well. For collectors of Bing & Grøndahl, porcelain figurines, and bird figurines, model 1784 is an obvious choice, but the figurine will also appeal to those who want a decorative piece of Danish design with history and personality in the home.

Older porcelain figurines like this carry a special charm because they were created to last and can still find a natural place in a modern home. This makes them a beautiful and sustainable choice, where fine craftsmanship is allowed to live on and create joy in new surroundings.
