Bing & Grøndahl penguin figurine 1821 or 1020431

This Bing & Grøndahl penguin figurine combines the simple Nordic design language with a vivid animal motif that makes the figurine easy to love. The penguin stands upright with a slightly raised head and a calm, almost curious posture, which gives the porcelain figurine character and personality. The soft transitions between the dark back, the light sides and the white chest highlight the bird's natural expression and give the figurine a fine play in the glaze.

As a bird figurine, it has a special ability to add something quiet and atmospheric to the interior. It fits beautifully in a bookcase, in a display cabinet or on a shelf together with other porcelain figurines from the Bing & Grøndahl and Royal Copenhagen universe. The motif also makes it ideal for those who collect animal figurines, bird figurines or classic Danish porcelain with a lifelike and decorative expression.

The figurine is designed by Sveistrup Madsen and made in porcelain with underglaze, which supports the smooth, glossy expression and the subdued nuances. The shape is simple, but far from anonymous. The small feet, the slender wings and the slightly forward-bent body give the penguin a credible and charming body language, while the compact size makes it easy to place in many places in the home.

A porcelain figurine like this is also a gift idea for the collector or for someone who appreciates classic Danish design with animal motifs. At the same time, it is a figurine that works well on its own, but which can also be combined with other bird figurines to create a personal display with history, craftsmanship and an eye for detail.
