Seal pup Bing & Grøndahl figurine no. 1927 21 cm

This seal pup from Bing & Grøndahl is a porcelain figurine with a calm and lifelike expression that makes it easy to love. The figurine depicts a young seal, lying relaxed with its head raised and an alert gaze. The soft lines and smooth shape give the figurine a fine sense of movement and calm at the same time, while the grey underglaze decoration with darker spots emphasizes the vivid animal motif.

It is precisely the simple, confident modelling that makes older Bing & Grøndahl animal figurines so sought after among collectors and those who are fond of classic Danish porcelain. Here you get a figurine that can both stand alone and fit naturally together with other porcelain figurines, maritime motifs or Nordic decor. The light base colour combined with grey shades makes it easy to place on a shelf, in a display cabinet or on a smaller table, where it adds personality and a touch of history to the home.

As a vintage porcelain figurine, this seal pup also contains the special charm that comes with older decorative art and collectors' items. It is a way to choose quality and fine craftsmanship that has already proven its durability over time. The figurine has item number 1927, and in the current registration it is described as cracked in the glaze. As this is also stated in the existing title, it is part of the item's identity.

A Bing & Grøndahl seal pup like this is an obvious choice for the collector of animal figurines, for maritime decor or as a gift for someone who appreciates Danish porcelain with history and character.
