Scottish terrier 13.5 cm, Bing & Grøndahl dog figurine no. 2117

Scottish terrier from Bing & Grøndahl is a classic dog figurine in porcelain, where the breed's characteristic silhouette is rendered with a calm and precise expression. The figurine stands upright with raised tail, pointed ears and the distinctive beard that characterizes a Scottie. The grey underglaze gives the surface depth and a lively play in the glaze, while also highlighting the structure of the coat and the figurine's firm posture.

It is a porcelain figurine with an expression that fits well into both the classic collection and the more personal home decor. A dog figurine like this works well alone on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as part of a group of older animal figurines in porcelain. The motif has both charm and weight, and the Scottish terrier in particular is a breed that many collectors and dog lovers are especially fond of. Model number 2117 is an important detail for those of you seeking a specific Bing & Grøndahl figurine.

Older porcelain figurines like this have a special ability to add personality to the home. They are created to last, and when they are allowed to live on in a new home, it is also a beautiful way to choose quality, history and good craftsmanship over new production. This makes the figurine an obvious gift for a dog friend, for the collector of Bing & Grøndahl or for those of you who would like to decorate with porcelain with soul.
