Bing & Grøndahl girl in swimsuit figurine no. 2224

Bing & Grøndahl figurine no. 2224 depicts a girl in a swimsuit in a vivid and recognizable moment. She stands slightly bent forward with her hands on her knees, as if gathering courage, catching her breath, or just about to head out into the water. The motif has a lovely everyday atmosphere that makes the figurine both charming and easy to love.

It is precisely this natural posture that gives the porcelain figurine personality. The simple movement and the calm expression bring to mind beach life, summer, swimming, and the free moments of childhood. The figurine is therefore well suited to those who appreciate classic child figurines and porcelain figurines with a story, without the motif becoming exaggerated.

As a Bing & Grøndahl figurine, this model also appeals to collectors of Danish porcelain and older figurative art. Underglaze provides a classic and durable surface, and the motif of the girl in a swimsuit makes the figurine interesting both as a collector's item and as decorative applied art in the home. It can stand alone on a shelf, on a chest of drawers, or in a display cabinet, but it is also ideal to combine with other child figurines or porcelain figurines from the same universe.

Older porcelain figurines like this have a special ability to add soul and history to the home. They remind us of quality craftsmanship created to last and of the joy of decorating with things that have already proven their value over time. Choosing vintage porcelain is at the same time a beautiful way to give fine craftsmanship new life in a contemporary interior.

For collectors and connoisseurs, the item number is an important part of the identification, and figurine no. 2224 is therefore worth noting. The motif also makes it an obvious gift for someone who appreciates swimming, beach motifs, or classic Bing & Grøndahl figurines.
