Bing & Grøndahl Girl with potter's jar figurine no. 2296

Girl with potter's jar from Bing & Grøndahl is a porcelain figurine with a quiet, concentrated expression and a fine story about childhood, play and shaping. The figurine shows a kneeling girl, who bows her head down over her small jar, while her arms embrace the work in front of her. This gives the figurine a calm and present character, which makes it ideal for collectors of B&G figurines and classic children's figurines in porcelain.

The white blanc de chine finish highlights the model's soft lines and the small details in both hair, face and posture. The simple colour lets the motif stand out clearly and gives the porcelain figurine a clean, sculptural expression, which fits beautifully into both classic and modern interiors. The small potter's jar adds extra life to the motif and makes the figurine interesting for those who are fond of figurines with everyday scenes and the work of the hand as a theme.

According to the existing information, this is a jubilee figurine released on the occasion of Bing & Grøndahl's 100th anniversary in 1953. This gives figurine no. 2296 a special place for collectors of older Bing & Grøndahl porcelain, where both motif, item number and historical occasion are significant. Older porcelain figurines like this carry a special charm and are at the same time a sustainable choice, because fine craftsmanship is allowed to live on and create joy in new homes.

A figurine like this can stand alone in a display cabinet, on a shelf or as part of a collection with other children's figurines from Bing & Grøndahl. It is also an obvious gift idea for someone who is fond of Danish porcelain, figurines with history or classic decorative art with soft, timeless forms.
