Bing & Grøndahl Little Ida's flowers figurine no. 2298 or 473

The Bing & Grøndahl figurine Little Ida's flowers is an atmospheric porcelain figurine that captures a quiet and reflective moment. The seated girl is depicted with her head bowed and flowers in her hands, while she sits on a small white bench. The motif has a calm, almost narrative character, which makes the figurine both decorative and full of presence.

The color scheme emphasizes the poetic mood. The girl is dressed in a blue dress with white details, and the flowers in her hands appear in light, delicate shades. Together with the smooth glaze and the soft shapes, this gives the figurine a classic expression that fits beautifully into both traditional and modern collections of porcelain figurines.

The figurine is made by Bing & Grøndahl and is connected to the strong Danish tradition of porcelain figurines with child motifs. The artist Ebbe Sadolin is known for creating figurines with warmth, personality and a fine understanding of body language, and this is clearly seen here in the quiet posture and the concentrated way the girl holds the flowers. The underglaze technique contributes to the durable and characteristic expression that collectors of B&G figurines often appreciate highly.

A figurine like this is ideal for you who collect child figurines from Bing & Grøndahl, or who want a porcelain work with history and soul in the interior. Older porcelain figurines like this add personality to the home and are at the same time a sustainable choice, because good craftsmanship is allowed to live on and create joy in new surroundings. It looks beautiful in a display cabinet, on a shelf, or as part of a combined arrangement with other classic figurines from Danish porcelain art.
