Nuthatch Bing & Grøndahl bird figurine no. 2406, 13 cm

This nuthatch from Bing & Grøndahl is a classic porcelain figurine with a lifelike and calm expression. The bird is modeled in a characteristic forward-leaning position, where it sits on a tree stump and almost appears as if it is in the process of searching for food. This gives the figurine life and movement, while at the same time preserving the quiet mood that many collectors appreciate in Danish bird figurines in porcelain.

The decoration is kept in soft, muted nuances with gray-brown and bluish tones on the plumage, a light underside and a greenish glazed stump. The fine lines in the wings and tail emphasize the bird's form and make the figurine interesting to look at from several angles. The underglaze gives the surface depth and a beautiful sheen, which suits Bing & Grøndahl's well-known bird figurines.

The figurine is designed by Emil Petersen, who is known for his animal and bird motifs for Bing & Grøndahl. Here you get a porcelain figurine that appeals both to the collector of B&G figurines and to you who want a discreet nature motif in the interior. A nuthatch like this looks beautiful in the display cabinet, on a shelf together with other bird figurines or as part of a personal collection of Danish porcelain and decorative arts.

Bing & Grøndahl nuthatch no. 2406 is also an obvious choice as a gift for bird enthusiasts, collectors or those who appreciate porcelain figurines with character and craftsmanship quality. It is a figurine that brings nature into the home in a quiet and atmospheric way.
