Bing & Grøndahl soldier figure no. 2444 lance corporal in the army

This Bing & Grøndahl figure no. 2444 depicts a soldier or lance corporal in the army and is a characterful porcelain figure with a clear connection to military life and the history of uniforms. The figure stands upright and calm with helmet, gear and rifle, and the motif conveys the sober dignity that often characterizes classic occupational figures and uniform figures from Danish porcelain.

The green uniform combined with the light straps, bags and the white base gives the figure a clear and harmonious expression. From all angles, the well-considered details can be seen: the helmet, the belt with pouches, the backpack and the rifle over the shoulder. The face is modeled simply and discreetly, which emphasizes the figure's calm appearance and makes it suitable both as a collector's figure and a decorative porcelain figure.

As an underglaze porcelain figure, the model has the smooth, glossy surface and the muted color tones that suit Bing & Grøndahl's classic design language well. The motif appeals both to collectors of Bing & Grøndahl figures, military figures and porcelain figures with occupations, trades and uniforms. At the same time, it is a figure that can create personality in the interior, whether it is placed in a display cabinet, on a shelf or together with other human figures and historical figures.

Older porcelain figures like this have a special ability to bring history and narrative into the home. They are created to last a long time and can continue to find new life with collectors and interior enthusiasts who appreciate good craftsmanship and motifs with soul. A soldier figure like this is also an obvious gift idea for someone interested in military history, uniforms or classic Danish porcelain.
