Bing & Grøndahl Goldcrest figurine no. 2458 in porcelain 9 cm

Bing & Grøndahl Goldcrest figurine no. 2458 is an atmospheric porcelain figurine that brings the tranquil life of the forest up close. The small bird is modelled sitting high on a tree stump, where the details of nature are allowed to play into the whole. The motif combines bird figurine, nature motif and classic Danish porcelain in an expression that appears both lively and harmonious.

The bird appears with an upright tail, finely defined beak and decorative plumage in shades of green, brown, grey, black and white. The wings have distinct, painted markings that give the figurine depth and character, while the base is shaped as a stump with bark texture, branches and cones. The underglaze porcelain decoration gives the surface a soft sheen and emphasises Bing & Grøndahl's sure sense for animal figurines with lifelike details.

As a vintage porcelain figurine, this goldcrest has both charm, history and collector's value. It fits beautifully in a display cabinet, on a shelf or as part of a still life with other bird figurines, porcelain animals or Nordic applied art. It is also an obvious gift for the bird lover, the collector or the one who appreciates older quality objects with soul. Choosing older porcelain is at the same time a fine way to let good craftsmanship live on and bring personality into a modern home.

Bing & Grøndahl bird figurines are sought after precisely because they combine decorative porcelain with the story of nature. Figurine no. 2458 is a good choice for you who are looking for a classic bird figurine in porcelain with a calm, Nordic expression and a motif that keeps catching the eye.
