Squirrel figurine no. 2474 Bing & Grøndahl porcelain figurine

This Bing & Grøndahl figurine no. 2474 depicts a squirrel with a nut between its front paws. The motif is captured in a calm, natural moment, where the squirrel sits upright with its tail raised behind it. The warm brown glaze and the light belly give the figurine a lively expression, and the simple details in the face, paws and tail emphasize the classic Danish tradition of animal figurines in porcelain.

As a porcelain figurine, it has an expression that is both decorative and down-to-earth. The squirrel fits nicely into a collection of Bing & Grøndahl figurines, but also works well alone on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as a small detail in the home decor, where nature motifs and Danish design are allowed to take up space. The glossy underglaze highlights the figurine's soft shapes and gives the surface depth.

It is a figurine with the kind of charm that makes older porcelain relevant even today. When choosing a vintage porcelain figurine like this, you get not just a decorative object, but also a piece of design history, created to last and to be appreciated for many years. It is ideal as a gift for collectors, for the nature lover or for you, who are fond of classic Bing & Grøndahl animal figurines with personality.
